Actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge hopes for an Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny spin-off movie for her character.
The new action-adventure movie starring Harrison Ford as the iconic hero is arriving in theaters. In the film, Indiana is joined by his goddaughter, Helena Shaw (Waller-Bridge). Together, they go on a race against time to retrieve the Archimedes Dial before it can land in the hands of Jürgen Voller (Mads Mikkelsen).
Rumors once leaked that Waller-Bridge would be taking over the franchise from Ford. “There’s no replacing Indiana Jones in any way,” she told Variety. “But I feel like the character herself—she did feel fresh on the page, and there is a sense of, is there room in the world for someone like this? So I do think there’s room for a slightly clumsier, bruised, limping female action star, maybe, in the future.”
There are currently no official plans to make an Indiana Jones spin-off.
