Actor Evan Peters has joined the Tron 3 cast for the new Disney sci-fi sequel.
The Tron series began in 1982 with Steven Lisberger’s film starring Jeff Bridges, where he played Kevin Flynn, a video game developer who gets transported inside his own creation and teams up with a security program named Tron. The movie series continued in 2010 with Tron: Legacy, directed by Joseph Kosinski, who recently helmed Top Gun: Maverick. That film starred Garrett Hedlund and Olivia Wilde.
Now, we have the upcoming third movie called Tron: Ares. Peters, famous for his roles as Quicksilver in the X-Men series and Jeffrey Dahmer in Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, joins the cast. The cast also includes Jared Leto in a lead role.
Who is directing Tron 3?
Tron: Ares will be directed by Joachim Rønning, who previously directed Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales and Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.
Emma Ludbrook, Jeffrey Springer, and Leto are producing. Russell Allen is executive producing.
