During the Annecy Animation Film Festival, Sony Pictures Animation has revealed new details about its first-ever R-rated comedy titled Fixed, centering around a dog who goes out for one final wild night with his friends before getting neutered. At the moment, the studio has not yet announced its official release date.
The movie has assembled an all-star voice cast, including Adam Devine as Bull, Idris Elba as Rocco, Kathryn Hahn as Honey, Fred Armisen as Fetch, Bobby Moynihan as Lucky, Beck Bennett as Sterling, River Gallo as Frankie, and Michelle Buteau as Molasses.
Who’s Involved in Fixed?
Fixed is directed by Genndy Tartakovsky from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jon Vitti. It is produced by Michelle Murdocca, Ashley Postlewaite, and Christian Roedel. This marks Tartakovsky’s first directorial project in five years since directing Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation.
“Devine’s Bull is a chubby but still intact pooch, who finds out his owners are about to give him the snip,” reads the character descriptions (via The Hollywood Reporter). “His already-fixed buddies, Rocco, Fetch and Lucky decide to take him out for one last night on the town so he can get the most out of his balls before it’s all over. Meanwhile, Hahn’s Honey is Bull’s neighbor and love interest, who’s glamourous show dog that has an appealingly raunchy side.”
