Netflix has dropped the first official They Cloned Tyrone posters for its upcoming action sci-fi comedy, teasing tomorrow’s trailer release. The posters feature silhouettes of Jamie Foxx, John Boyega, and Teyonah Parris‘ characters Slick Charles, Fontaine, and Yo-yo. The R-rated film will be available for streaming on July 21.
What is They Cloned Tyrone about?
“A series of eerie events thrusts an unlikely trio onto the trail of a nefarious government experiment in this pulpy mystery caper,” reads the film’s synopsis.
Described as “Friday meets Get Out,” They Cloned Tyrone is the feature directorial debut of Creed 2 writer Juel Taylor, who is also co-writing the screenplay with Tony Rettenmaier. Joining the leading trio are Kiefer Sutherland, J. Alphonse Nicholson, David Alan Grier, Tamberla Perry, Eric Robinson Jr., and more.
The film is produced by MACRO’s CEO Charles D. King with Taylor, Rettenmaier, and Stephen “Dr.” Love also serving as producers. It is also executive produced by Macro’s Mark R. Wright and Jack Murray.
