Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse

Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse Will Conclude Miles Morales’ Story

The Across the Spider-Verse creators have confirmed Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse will be the last film in the trilogy.

The latest Marvel animated superhero movie, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, has been crushing it at the box office. The film ends on a cliffhanger, with a title card in the credits revealing that Miles Morales will return in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.

Writers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller spoke to Entertainment Tonight about turning the Spider-Verse movies into a trilogy. “We knew there was more to tell and that there’s a lot to explore, but it wasn’t until we were working on [Across the Spider-Verse] that we realized that this was the middle piece of a trilogy,” said Miller.

Miller also confirmed that Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse will be the final film in the trilogy. “It is the end of the Miles Morales trilogy, and so, this whole thing is working towards that,” said Miller. “That’s it for us; we’re so tired.”

When is the Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse release date?

The film is currently set to release on March 29, 2024.

However, many have been speculating that the film will be delayed from its release date, which is a mere nine months away. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Hailee Steinfeld revealed that she had not yet begun recording dialogue for Gwen Stacy/Spider-Woman.

Although a delay is possible, Spider-Man fans will surely be there to see how Miles Morales’s story finishes in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.
