A new Fast X video previews the return of John Cena as Jakob Toretto, the brother of Vin Diesel‘s Dominic Toretto, ahead of the film’s release in theaters on May 19, 2023.
Cena, who originally appeared in 2021’s F9, is set to return. In a video teasing his return, he called it “an honor” to be part of “the mythology” that is the Fast & Furious franchise. He also teased the upcoming film, calling it even bigger and “unfamiliar territory” for the “Fast mythology.”

Who is the Fast X cast and crew?
Fast X is being directed by Transporter director Louis Leterrier, who took over the role from Justin Lin after Lin exited the project due to creative differences. The film is written by Lin and Dan Mazeau, with Lin still attached as a producer.
Diesel, Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Ludacris, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, and Scott Eastwood reprise their respective roles in the film. The tenth installment also features the additions of franchise newcomers Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Daniela Melchior (The Suicide Squad), Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), and Alan Ritchson (Reacher).
