Indiana Jones 5 Runtime

Indiana Jones 5 Runtime Makes Dial of Destiny the Longest Indy Movie

The runtime for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny has been revealed, making the fifth installment in the adventure series the longest of the bunch.

What is Indiana Jones 5’s runtime?

World of Reel has reported that Indiana Jones’ latest adventure is two hours and 33 minutes long, or 153 minutes in length. The outlet notes that in April, producer Kathleen Kennedy announced that the Indiana Jones 5 runtime would be 142 minutes, or two hours and 22 minutes, meaning the new runtime could be the result of adding the movie’s credits.

This makes Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny the longest entry in the series. For comparison, Raiders of the Lost Ark is 115 minutes long, The Temple of Doom is 118 minutes in length, The Last Crusade runs for 128 minutes, and finally, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull stands at 122 minutes.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is once again led by Harrison Ford as he reprises one of his most iconic roles as the titular explorer. Joining him as the female lead is Emmy and Golden Globe winner Phoebe Waller-Bridge. The final installment also features the introduction of other franchise newcomers Antonio Banderas, Mads Mikkelsen, Thomas Kretschmann, Boyd Holbrook, and Shaunette Renée Wilson.

The long-awaited film is being directed by Oscar nominee James Mangold (Logan) from a new screenplay written with Jez and John-Henry Butterworth, who collaborated on Ford v Ferrari. Mangold took over the director’s chair after Steven Spielberg exited his directorial duties for the film. Despite his exit, Spielberg will still remain part of the film’s production as a producer.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall, and Simon Emanuel, with John Williams returning to score the film. It is set to be released in theaters on June 30, 2023.
