Prime Video’s best offer this week is a raunchy comedy.
On Friday, November 18, the streaming service will add The People We Hate at the Wedding to its available content. The movie is directed by Emmy winner Claire Scanlon (The Office) from a screenplay written by Bob’s Burgers writing duo Lizzie Molyneux-Logelin and Wendy Molyneux. It stars Allison Janney, Kristen Bell, Ben Platt, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Dustin Milligan, Karan Soni, Tony Goldwyn, and more.
“In the hilariously raunchy comedy, dysfunctional American siblings Alice and Paul, along with their ever-optimistic mom, are invited to the British wedding of their estranged half-sister Eloise as a chance for them to reconnect as — more or less — adults, and learn to love each other like they once did,” reads the synopsis.
The People We Hate at the Wedding is based on Grant Ginder’s novel of the same name. Margot Hand produced the project together with Ashley Fox. It hails from FilmNation Entertainment.
