As production continues on Red One, Dwayne Johnson has taken to Instagram to share some behind-the-scenes photos from the set of the Amazon Studios’ forthcoming action-comedy holiday film.

The Red One set photos feature our first look at Spider-Man: No Way Home star J.K. Simmons as Santa Claus. It also continues to give us a closer look at Johnson’s red and black costume, which somewhat resembles Deadpool’s iconic suit.

Red One will be directed and produced by Jake Kasdan, who will reunite with Johnson after working together on the blockbuster Jumanji films. It is also written by Fast and Furious‘ Chris Morgan, based on a story conceived by Hiram Garcia.
Further details about its plot and characters are still being kept under wraps, but it is described as a globe-trotting, four-quadrant action-adventure comedy that imagines a whole new universe to explore within the holiday genre. Evans and Johnson will be joined by Lucy Liu, Kiernan Shipka, Kristofer Hivju, Nick Kroll, Mary Elizabeth Ellis, and Wesley Kimmel.

The project will be produced by Morgan, Melvin Mar, and Sky Salem Robinson, along with Johnson, Hiram Garcia, and Dany Garcia for Seven Bucks Productions.
