After recently expressing her hopes of reuniting with Lindsay Lohan for a potential Freaky Friday sequel, Jamie Lee Curtis has now confirmed she is trying to convince Disney to consider making the comedy sequel.

In a recent interview with The View, Curtis was once again asked about her thoughts on Freaky Friday 2. Curtis gave a surprising answer by confirming that she’s “already written” the studio about possibly making the sequel.
“Let me be the grandma! Let me be the old grandma who switches places,” Curtis said. “So then Lindsay gets to be the sexy grandma, who is still happy with Mark Harmon in all the ways you would be happy with Mark Harmon. Simply, I would like to see Lindsay be the hot grandma, and I would like to see me try to deal with toddlers today.”

It has been nearly 20 years since Freaky Friday made its theatrical release in 2003. In addition to receiving positive reviews, the film was also a box office success, with a worldwide gross of more than $160 million against a reported budget of $26 million.
Directed by Mark Waters from a screenplay written by Heather Hach and Leslie Down. It centered around the bond between a mother and her rebellious daughter. After arguing again, they suddenly find themselves in an unbelievable situation as they switched bodies.
The 2003 film starred Curtis, Lohan, Chad Michael Murray, Harmon, Stephen Tobolowsky, Rosalind Chao, and more. It is based on Mary Rodgers’ 1972 novel of the same name. This version marked Disney’s third adaptation of the classic story.
