The Hellraiser release date is upon us.
The iconic horror franchise is living a second youth nowadays, with plenty of Hellraiser coming the fans’ way. Here is when to watch the upcoming reboot at Hulu.
When to Watch Hellraiser on Hulu
Hulu set the Hellraiser release date at 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT on Friday, October 7. David Bruckner (The Ritual, The Night House) directed the latest addition in the horror franchise from a screenplay written by Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski, based on the story treatment by David S. Goyer. The ensemble cast includes Odessa A’zion, Jamie Clayton, Adam Faison, Drew Starkey, Brandon Flynn, Aoife Hinds, Jason Liles, Yinka Olorunnife, Selina Lo, Zachary Hing, Kit Clarke, as well as Goran Visnjic and Hiam Abbass.
“A young woman struggling with addiction comes into possession of an ancient puzzle box, unaware that its purpose is to summon the Cenobites, a group of sadistic supernatural beings from another dimension,” reads the synopsis.
Goyer, Barker, Marc Toberoff, and Chris Stone produced the film. Gary Barber, Peter Oillataguerre, and Todd Williams serve as executive producers. It is a production by Spyglass Media Group.

The Hellraiser franchise is based on Clive Barker’s horror novella The Hellbound Heart. Released in 1987, the first film originally told the story of an unfaithful wife who attempts to assist her dead lover in his escape from hell. Pinhead, the franchise’s villain, leads the sadomasochist demons called Cenobites, who are summoned through an antique puzzle box. Due to its cult following, it was then followed by nine more sequels.
The upcoming film isn’t the only one currently in the works. HBO is also developing a series adaptation of Hellraiser, where Clive Barker will serve as executive producer while David Gordon Green will direct several episodes.
