Having just seen action-thriller John Wick here in New York during a wildly enthusiastic New York Comic Con screening, we can tell you beyond all doubt that this movie kicks an extremely prodigious amount of ass. Keanu Reeves’ title hitman dispatches bad guys with guns, knives, cars and bedsheets in ways you never dreamed of, and the movie has at least a dozen moments that left audiences cheering their brains out.

In the film, an ex-hitman (Reeves) comes out of retirement to track down the gangsters that took everything from him. With New York City as his bullet-riddled playground, John Wick is a fresh and stylized take on the “assassin genre.” The movie also stars Michael Nyqvist, Alfie Allen, Adrianne Palicki, Dean Winters, Bridget Moynahan, Ian McShane, John Leguizmo and Willem Dafoe.
