Sony Pictures has plans to develop the characters of the Robin Hood legend into a multi-film shared cinematic universe, says a story today at The Hollywood Reporter. According to the outlet, the original pitch, titled Hood, will establish Robin alongside Merry Men like Will Scarlett and Little John, the plan being to potentially then give them solo spinoff films further down the road.
Likened to Marvel’s The Avengers in terms of scope with a story tone compared to the Mission: Impossible and The Fast and the Furious franchises, Hood arrives from the Lore pair of screenwriters Cory Goodman and Jeremy Lott.
Michael De Luca will oversee Hood for Sony.
