Ash will be directed by Steven Ellison aka Grammy winner Flying Lotus, who will also be composing the film’s original score. This marks his second directorial feature since directing the horror comedy Kuso in 2017. The film is written by Jonni Remmler.
“The film follows a woman (Thompson) who wakes up on a distant planet and finds the crew of her space station viciously killed, and must then decide if she can trust the man (Gordon-Levitt) sent to rescue her,” reads the synopsis. “But as their investigation into what happened sets in motion a terrifying chain of events, he begins to wonder how innocent she really is.”
