In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige teased a new detail about the highly-anticipated Fantastic Four. Unlike previous film adaptations, Feige confirmed that the forthcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe reboot will not be an origin story of Marvel’s first family.
“A lot of people know this origin story,” Feige said. “A lot of people know the basics. How do we take that and bring something that they’ve never seen before? We’ve set a very high bar for ourselves with bringing that to the screen.”
It’s definitely interesting to see how would Marvel Studios effectively introduce the titular team into the interconnected story of the MCU, especially with how well they’ve done it before with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man introduction in Captain America: Civil War.

Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four was first teased by Kevin Feige during the 2019 San Diego Comic-Con. Spider-Man: No Way Home director Jon Watts was originally slated to direct the project, but decided to drop out in order to take a break from the superhero genre.
Official casting for the film hasn’t been announced yet, but The Office alum John Krasinski recently made his debut as a variant of Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. It’s still unclear whether or not Krasinski would also be reprising the role in the upcoming film.

The Fantastic Four Marvel comic book series created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby debuted in 1961 and was the first superhero team title produced by Marvel Comics.
The film is set to make its debut during Phase 6 on November 8, 2024.
