Director Burr Steers’ big-screen adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith’s Jane Austen reimagining, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies has added two “Game of Thrones” stars. Deadline reports that both Charles Dance and Lena Headey have joined the cast in unspecified roles. What’s more, Screen Gems has secured distribution rights to the upcoming zombified take on the Austen classic.
The pair join a cast that already includes Lily James, Bella Heathcote, Sam Riley, Jack Huston, Douglar Booth, Matt Smith and Suki Waterhouse.
The story offers an “expanded” version of the Austen classic. The book tells the timeless story of a woman’s quest for love and independence amid the outbreak of a deadly virus that turns the undead into vicious killers.
Scripted by Steers and David O. Russell, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies will be produced by Natalie Portman, Marc Butan, Sean McKittrick, Brian Oliver, Annette Savitch, Allison Shearmur and Tyler Thompson.
