According to Deadline, Jumanji star Nick Jonas and Top Gun: Maverick actor Glen Powell have officially signed on to star in the upcoming buddy comedy film titled Foreign Relations. Following a competitive bidding war, Amazon Studios successfully won the rights to the project.

Foreign Relations will be directed by Kat Coiro (Marry Me) from a screenplay that will be written by Charlie Kesslering. The project will be produced by Jonas and Powell along with Elizabeth Banks, Max Handelman, and Alison Small through their Browstone production.
Jonas’ notable film credits include Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Jumanji: The Next Level, Midway, and Chaos Walking. He will next be seen in the upcoming musical Jersey Boys Live!.

Powell is best known for his roles in films such as The Great Debaters, Everybody Wants Some!!, Hidden Figures, Sand Castle, and Set It Up. He is currently starring alongside Tom Cruise and Miles Teller in Top Gun: Maverick, which has now earned a worldwide gross of over $1 billion at the box office.
