Disney has officially announced the first details for its second Disney+ Day event, confirming that this year’s celebration is scheduled to make its debut on Thursday, September 8. The Disney+ Day 2022 will be leading into the highly-anticipated D23 Expo, which being described as The Ultimate Disney Fan Event that will take place from September 9 to 11.

This announcement comes after Disney+ has recently confirmed the release date for Walt Disney Studios’ newest live-action film adaptation Pinocchio, which will start streaming on the same day as Disney+ Day 2022. The film stars Tom Hanks as Geppetto, Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as the titular character, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Jiminy Cricket, Cynthia Erivo as the Blue Fairy, Luke Evans as the villainous Coachman, Keegan-Michael Key as Honest John, and Lorraine Bracco as Sofia the Seagull, an original character.
Like last year’s event, fans should expect to see more surprise announcements and sneak peaks at the upcoming and newest Disney+ content from Marvel Studios, Star Wars, Pixar, National Geographic, and Disney.
