Warner Bros. Pictures has announced the release date for the forthcoming HBO Max debut of David Yates’ latest installment to the Harry Potter spin-offs, Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. After more than a month since its U.S. theatrical release, the Eddie Redmayne and Jude Law-led fantasy action-drama will officially be available for streaming next Monday on May 30, exclusively on HBO Max.
The film earned a worldwide gross of over $380 million against a reported budget of $200 million, making this the lowest-grossing film of the magical franchise. It’s still unclear if this poor box-office turnout impact the previously announced final two installments of Fantastic Beasts or not.

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore stars Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, Katherine Waterston as Tina Goldstein, Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski, Alison Sudol as Queenie Goldstein, Ezra Miller as Credence, Jude Law as Albus Dumbledore, Jessica Williams as Professor Lally Hicks, and Callum Turner as Theseus, with Mads Mikkelsen as the new Gellert Grindelwald.
“Professor Albus Dumbledore knows the powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald is moving to seize control of the wizarding world,” reads the official synopsis. “Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts Magizoologist Newt Scamander to lead an intrepid team of wizards, witches, and one brave Muggle baker on a dangerous mission, where they encounter old and new beasts and clash with Grindelwald’s growing legion of followers. But with the stakes so high, how long can Dumbledore remain on the sidelines?”
