A24 is ready to deliver the first-ever R-rated musical comedy, greenlighting the upcoming film F*cking Identical Twins.

The film is set to star Aaron Jackson, Josh Sharp, Tony Award-winning Nathan Lane, Emmy Award-winning Megan Mullaly, Bowen Yang, and Grammy Award-winning rapper Megan Thee Stallion.
Award-winning writer, director, and producer Larry Charles (Seinfeld, Borat) will direct the film, which will feature original songs by Jackson, Sharp, and Karl Saint Lucy F*cking Identical Twins is based on the Jackson, Sharp, and Saint Lucy’s original two-man stage show that premiered at the Upright Citizens Brigade in 2014.
According to A24, the film is “a subversive musical spin on The Parent Trap, following two business adversaries who realize they’re identical twin brothers and decide to switch places in order to reunite their divorced parents and become a family again.”

To bolster its musical background, Grammy Award-winning producer Marius de Vries (La La Land, Moulin Rouge, CODA) will join the project as Executive Music Producer. Fiora Cutler will serve as the film’s music supervisor, and oversee all cast musical direction in association with de Vries.
