The comedy world is in mourning as comedian, director, and actor Bob Saget has passed away.
Saget, 65, was found dead in his Orlando hotel room today according to TMZ. The comedian was found by hotel staff and both the sheriff’s department and fire department responded to the scene.
“Earlier today, deputies were called to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes for a call about an unresponsive man in a hotel room,” announced the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. “The man was identified as Robert Saget & pronounced deceased on scene. Detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case.”
Saget is best known for starring in the hit sitcom Full House and hosting America’s Funniest Home Videos. While he found mainstream success, Saget’s stand-up comedy was quite raunchy and celebrated. Saget was currently on tour and performing his act around the U.S. His death comes just months after his friend Norm Macdonald passed away, who he directed in the comedy Dirty Work.
In recent years, Saget had appearances on Shameless, a recurring role on Fuller House, and directed the Redbox Original Benjamin.
