Starring Thomas Jane as Frank Castle, 2004’s The Punisher film launched to mixed reviews from both fans and critics. However, the film quickly became a cult favorite, with fans loving Jane’s portrayal of Castle. Unfortunately, nothing else regarding the film was ever released, with a sequel planned but eventually canceled and Marvel moving in a different direction, beginning the Marvel Cinematic Universe just a few years later. The Punisher also stars John Travolta, Will Patton, Rebecca Romijn, and Ben Foster.
