In a celebration of the upcoming Disney+ Day, the streamer has announced that a brand new animated short film for The Simpsons titled “The Simpsons in Plusaversary!” is officially heading to Disney+ next week on Friday, November 12. It is expected to include cameos from popular Disney-owned characters as they visit Springfield for a party.
In addition, the first key-art poster for the new short film has been revealed, which you can check out below, featuring the unlikely duo of Homer and Goofy, who look like they are having a serious conversation.

In The Simpsons in Plusaversary, the iconic animated family host a Disney+ Day party and everyone is on the list… except Homer. With friends from across the service and music fit for a Disney princess, Plusaversary is Springfield’s event of the year.
The upcoming short is the third in a series of Disney+ shorts from The Simpsons that highlight the service’s marquee brands and titles. The first one was a Star Wars-themed short titled Maggie Simpson in The Force Awakens from Its Nap, and most recent was a Marvel-themed short The Good, The Bart, and The Loki, which are now both streaming on Disney+.

Created by Matt Groening (Futurama, Disenchantment), The Simpsons has been on-air for more than 30 years and had become a pop-culture phenomenon. The voice cast consists of Dan Castellaneta as Homer Simpson, Julie Kavner as his wife Marge, Nancy Cartwright as Bart, and Yeardley Smith as Lisa.
