Rose Leslie, Justin Bartha and Gina Rodriguez have joined Ray Liotta in the cast of Sticky Notes, the directorial debut of screenwriter Amanda Harlib. The film, which is currently lensing in New Orleans, Louisiana, is produced by Katie Mustard (Shelter, We’ll Never Have Paris) and Joe Jenckes (Margin Call, Kill Your Darlings) under the Mustard & Co. production banner.
Sticky Notes is the story of an emotionally detached back-up dancer named Athena (Leslie), who must return home to Florida to help care for her estranged father, Jack (Liotta), after he gets diagnosed with cancer. There she must contend with Jacks irresponsible lifestyle while looking after six year old Honey Bunny who is only beginning to grasp the err in Jacks ways.
Harlib most recently adapted the novel Sorta Like a Rockstar by Matthew Quick (author of Silver Linings Playbook) for Gotham Group, which is set up with Temple Hill at Fox Searchlight. She has also worked as a writer on the in-development Clueless 2 for Paramount. Additionally, she is the creator of the web series “Haute & Bothered,” which ran on Teen.com for 2 years and was sponsored by LG.
