According to The Hollywood Reporter, Golden Globe and Emmy winner Sterling K. Brown (This Is Us), and WandaVision star Randall Park have officially signed on for the leading roles in Amazon Studios’ untitled action-comedy film. The project is being likened to the 1982 buddy cop film titled 48 Hrs., which was led by Eddie Murphy and Nick Nolte.

The untitled action-comedy movie will center around two estranged childhood best friends, who now find themselves on the opposite sides of the law. Framed and on the run, the two must survive each other long enough to clear their names and stop an international criminal enterprise.
The Amazon Studios project will be written by Alex Tse (Wu-Tang: An American Saga). In addition to starring Brown and Park are also set as producers through their respective Indian Meadows and Imminent Collision banners. It will be produced by Hieu Ho, and Michael Golamco, with Danielle Reardon set as an executive producer.

Brown won two Emmy Awards for his roles as Christopher Darden and Randall Pearson in the award-winning series American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson and This Is Us, respectively. He is again currently nominated at the upcoming Emmy awards for Outstanding Lead Actor for his performance in the latest season of the NBC drama.
Park is best known for his starring role in the ABC sitcom Fresh Off the Boat which ran on-air for six seasons from 2014-2020. Earlier this year, his MCU role as FBI agent Jimmy Woo became an instant fan-favorite following his recurring appearance in WandaVision.
