Ahead of the long-delayed release of the latest installment to the Kingsman films this December, it looks like franchise creator Matthew Vaughn has found his next big project in the form of Marv Studios’ brand new spy feature titled Argylle. Marv has also assembled an all-star cast which will feature Grammy-winning singer Dua Lipa in her feature acting debut, who is also set to provide the original music for the title track and score of the high-profile project.
Henry Cavill (The Witcher, Justice League), John Cena (The Suicide Squad), Samuel L. Jackson (MCU films), Bryce Dallas Howard (Jurassic World: Dominion), Catherine O’Hara (Schitt’s Creek), Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad), and Oscar-winning actor Sam Rockwell (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri) have officially signed on to star in Vaughn’s film adaptation of Argylle, based on author Ellie Conway’s upcoming spy novel, which is expected to begin its production this coming August in Europe.

The film adaptation will center around the world’s greatest spy Argylle as he is caught up in a globe-trotting adventure. Marv is looking to develop the project into a becoming the first of at least three films in the potential big franchise that will be set throughout multiple locations across the world including America and London.
“When I read this early draft manuscript I felt it was the most incredible and original spy franchise since Ian Fleming’s books of the 50s,” Vaughn said in a statement (via Deadline). “This is going to reinvent the spy genre.”
Marv CEO Zygi Kamasa added: “We are delighted that we will be starting our fourth, and by far the biggest, feature film production since the start of the global pandemic. It demonstrates both our desire to scale up our production activity and our ambition to continue to launch new franchises beyond the Kingsman series of films.”

Argylle will be directed by Matthew Vaughn from a screenplay adapted by Jason Fuchs, It will be executive produced by Zygi Kamasa, Carlos Peres, Claudia Vaughn, and Adam Fishbach, with Fuchs, Adam Bohling and David Reid to produce.
Ellie Conway’s debut novel is slated to be published in 2022 by Penguin Random House’s Transworld Published Ltd.
