Legendary has confirmed that acclaimed actress Glenn Close (The Wife) has officially signed on to star opposite Emmy winner Peter Dinklage and Oscar nominee Josh Brolin in their upcoming comedy feature titled Brothers. Further details about her unnamed character and plot are still begin kept under wraps, but Dinklage and Brolin are expected to portray the titular duo, who have been both attached to the project since 2019.
The 101 Dalmatians star recently starred in Rodrigo Garcia’s drama film Four Good Days with Mila Kunis and was also an executive producer in Disney’s live-action Cruella, which is now available in the theaters and on Disney+ with Premier Access. Close will next be seen in Apple’s new drama pic Swan Song, starring alongside Mahershala Ali.

Brothers will be directed by Max Barbakow (Palm Springs) from a screenplay written by Macon Blair (Green Room, I Don’t Feel at Home)) and Etan Cohen (Tropic Thunder, Get Hard). Blair was previously attached to helm the project and it’s unclear why he’s no longer its director. However, he currently also working on with Legendary for the upcoming reboot of the 1984 superhero film The Toxic Avenger, which will also be led by Dinklage.
Further details about the plot are still being kept wraps. However, the outlet’s sources described the project as something similar to Ivan Reitman’s 1988 classic comedy film Twins which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito.

Josh Brolin (Avengers: Endgame) and Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones) will both serve as producers on Brothers through their Brolin Productions and Estuary Films banner, respectively. American Sniper producer Andrew Lazar will also be producing through his Mad Chance Banner.
