As stated above, The Amazing Maurice is the animated film adaptation of Pratchett’s The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents. It is the twenty-eighth novel in the writer’s Discworld series. It follows a sentient cat named Maurice (played by Laurie), a group of talking rats, and a pipe player named Keith (played by Patel) who come up with a scheme to make some quick cash in the small town of Bad Blintz. However, it seems they aren’t the only ones causing a bit of mischief as food seems to disappear mysteriously.
This isn’t the first time Tennant appeared in a Terry Pratchett adaptation. He also played Crowley in the Amazon Prime Video adaptation of Good Omens.
Tennant is most notably known for his role as the tenth Doctor from the beloved Doctor Who television series. He has also starred in numerous projects ranging from episodic murder mysteries like Broadchurch to horror comedies like Fright Night.
Sky Cinema’s The Amazing Maurice is set to release in 2022. A specific date has yet to be announced.
