A busy weekend at IMAX theaters saw Cliffwalkers continue to find success in China and Guy Ritchie’s Wrath of Man debut in North America and select international markets.
Cliffwalkers was the big winner this weekend as it added $1.7 million on the IMAX China network. Last weekend it brought in $2.3 million, and it now sits at $8 million total after 10 days of release, which is 7 percent of the nationwide total. It also now holds the IMAX Labor Day holiday box office record for a local title and is only second to Avengers: Endgame as the highest IMAX box office title during early May.

The biggest debut this week was the Jason Statham-led action flick Wrath of Man. It took in 8% of the nationwide weekend total by bringing in $625,000 domestically. It also added $375,000 from Russia and other international markets. The IMAX global accumulation now sits at $1 million. Wrath of Man will open in the Middle East next week.
Next week will see Spiral make its IMAX debut as it launches in 13 networks including the United States, Mexico, South Korea, and Russia. Plus, Lord of the Rings: Return of the King will launch on the IMAX China network
