Disney’s iconic The Haunted Mansion theme park attraction has been featured in countless forms of media, and now it looks as if the company is ready to dive into another film centered on it. According to a report from Deadline, Disney is in negotiations with director Justin Simien (Caught a Ghost: Get Your Life) on a new feature based on the popular theme park ride.

The Haunted Mansion ride has been a subject of various films and references. Most recently, Disney adapted the ride into a film in 2003 starring Eddie Murphy. That film did fairly well at the box office, and it seems as if Disney is ready to give things another go with one of their most recognizable attractions. grossing over $180 million, which was double its budget. However, the film was panned by critics and isn’t a beloved part of the Disney catalog.

Not much else is known about the film, but Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich are set to produce the feature. Lin and Eirich also produced the live-action adaptation of Aladdin for Disney and will be producing through their Rideback banner with Nick Reynolds of Rideback attached as an executive producer. Katie Dippold was said to have written the most recent draft of the film.
