Announced for development last year, Leonardo DiCaprio is among the producers of the upcoming Blood on Snow. Today, Variety reports that Safe House and Easy Money helmer Daniel Espinosa is in talks to direct with DiCaprio still eyeing the leading role.
Blood on Snow is an adaptation of crime fiction author Jo Nesbo’s upcoming novel, written under his nom de plume, Tom Johansen. “Blood on Snow” follows a hitman who is tasked with offing his boss’ wife only to find that he’s fallen in love with her. Two literary sequels are already planned and, in the third, Johansen himself becomes a character.
Espinosa is currently working on Child 44 with Tom Hardy, Noomi Rapace, Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Vincent Cassel and Jason Clarke starring.
In addition to DiCaprio, Appian Way’s Jennifer Davisson Killoran is producing Blood on Snow alongside Kevin McCormick of Langley Park.
