Disneyland Eyes Mid-July Reopening Date
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disneyland is eyeing July 9 as a potential reopening date. Well, Downtown Disney would reopen on July 9. The park itself, including California Adventure, will (hopefully) follow suit on July 17, followed by the Disney hotels on July 23. The plan, per the report, must be officially approved on the state and local level.

Of course, things aren’t expected to simply go back to normal. The article states that plans are in place to limit the park’s capacity via a reservation system that all guests, including Annual Passholders, will have to abide by for the time being. Likewise, strict health and safety measures will be put in place, including social distancing and a suspension of all character meet and greets.
Disney’s parks were forced to shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic, but has slowly started reopening parks across the world. Shanghai Disneyland reopened in early May with similar safety precautions, and the Disney Springs shopping and dining district of Disney World followed close behind. Disney World itself plans to reopen fully in July.
