Home Entertainment have unveiled the details for the upcoming Blu-ray and DVD release of Gretel & Hansel, Osgood Perkins’ terrifying take on the iconic Brothers Grimm folk tale which is set to hit digital platforms on April 7 and physical shelves and VOD on May 5. Another twist on the classic Brothers Grimm tale, Gretel & Hansel is set a long time ago in a distant fairytale countryside and will tell the tale of a young girl who leads her little brother into a dark wood in desperate search of food and work, only to stumble upon a nexus of terrifying evil.
Gretel & Hansel stars Sophia Lillis (IT: Chapter Two) as Gretel, Sammy Leakey (MotherFatherSon) as Hansel, Alice Krige (Silent Hill) as Holda, Jessica De Gouw (Arrow) as young Holda, and Charles Babalola (The Legend of Tarzan) as The Hunter.

The film is written by Rob Hayes (Chewing Gum) and will be directed by Osgood Perkins, who is most known for writing and directing horror films The Blackcoat’s Daughter starring Emma Roberts and Kiernan Shipka and I Am the Pretty Thing that Lives in the House starring Ruth Wilson.
Gretel & Hansel follows its breadcrumbs onto Blu-ray, DVD, and VOD on May 5 and digital platforms on April 7!
