Author E L James broke the news on Sunday via the below Instagram that filming has begun in Vancouver for Fifty Shades of Grey, the Sam Taylor-Johnson-directed adaptation starring Jamie Dornan, Dakota Johnson, Jennifer Ehle, Luke Grimes, Victor Rasuk, Eloise Mumford and Max Martini.
Coming to theaters on February 13, 2015, the film is based on the first book in James’s trilogy which follows the relationship of 27-year-old billionaire Christian Grey and college student Anastasia Steele. Subsequent novels in the series, “Fifty Shades Darker” and “Fifty Shades Freed” explore the couples deepening relationship.
UPDATE: Variety is reporting that singer-songwriter-turned-actress Rita Ora has joined the cast of Fifty Shades of Grey in the role of Mia Grey, Christian’s adopted sister. She played a racer earlier this year in Justin Lin’s Furious Six.
