Simon Helberg joins Adam Driver and Marion Cotillard in Leos Carax’s Amazon musical Annette
According to Deadline, Simon Helberg has joined the production of Leos Carax’s Amazon musical Annette, where he will star opposite Adam Driver and Marion Cotillard. The film is currently in production with plans to shoot in Belgium, Germany, and Los Angeles.

The film, which features songs by U.S. rock band Sparks and celebrated music producer Marius de Vries, who worked on La La Land, Bohemian Rhapsody and Moulin Rouge, follows Driver’s stand-up comedian and Cotillard’s modern-opera star who form a pair of star-crossed lovers. According to the trade, both actors will do their own singing in the film, which is being distributed by Amazon Studios.
Charles Gillibert’s CG Cinema will produce alongside Driver an Paul-Dominique Vacharasinthu.

Helberg is best known for his performance on the popular TV series The Big Bang Theory, where he starred as Howard Wolowitz. However, he has also appeared in films such as A Serious Man, Evan Almighty, and Good Night, and Good Luck.
