According to Deadline, Black-ish star Anthony Anderson has signed on to produce and star in the romantic comedy Football or Me from writer Robb Chavis, based on the Argentinian comedy Futbol y Yo.

Per the report, the film revolves around Peter (Anderson), an American football fan who falls for “a successful entrepreneur who is one of Atlanta’s brightest rising stars – and completely out of his league. He has to decide if he’s willing to sacrifice his love of the game for the love of his life.”
Tracey Bing and Benedict Carder will produce the film, which is financed by AGC Studios.

Anderson currently stars in the hit comedy series Black-ish. His notable film credits include the likes of Transformers and The Departed.
