It has been known for some time that Michael Bay’s upcoming Transformers 4 would be featuring a lot of China. From Chinese set pieces, to Chinese actors, the production will even move to China at the end of the year. The film will be heavily inspired by the country’s culture and locations.
Michigan Live has spotted a set being constructed for the film in downtown Detroit that will function as its own “Chinese town” for the production. You can take a look at their photos of the set’s construction by clicking here.
Although the plot of sequel is still top secret, Bay teased to ComingSoon.net that it will involve a “Chase from Hell.”
Starring Mark Wahlberg, Jack Reynor, Nicola Peltz, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Sophia Myles, Li Bingbing and T.J. Miller, Transformers 4 hits theaters and IMAX on June 27, 2014.
