Directors Tease Captain America: The Winter Soldier and X-Men: Days of Future Past

The CineEurope conference is currently underway in Spain and many of the big studios in Hollywood have presented footage to foreign exhibitors from their upcoming films.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier co-director Joe Russo had a pre-taped video play at the conference where he said, “It’s going to be much gritter than any Marvel movie to date.” (via Screen Daily)

Fox also showed a video tour of the set for the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past with director Bryan Singer as the tour guide. He even revealed a little more about the film, “It takes place all over the world, including in Russia, China and Japan,” Singer said (via The Hollywood Reporter). “So there will more of an international flair than the other films.” The one country Singer didn’t mention is France, which will apparently play a very large role in the film.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is scheduled to hit theaters on April 4, 2014, while X-Men: Days of Future Past will be released on May 23, 2014.

UPDATE: Joe Russo’s original quote was transcribed incorrectly by Screen Daily. He did not say ‘greater,’ he said ‘grittier.’
