According to The Hollywood Reporter, Academy-Award winner Denzel Washington has joined the cop thriller Little Things from The Blind Side writer-director John Lee Hancock.

Per the report, Hancock will pen the film about “a burned out but gifted Kern County deputy sheriff who teams with a crack Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department detective, Baxter, to capture a serial killer.”
No word on who will play Baxter.

Washington was last seen in The Equalizer 2, which made $190 million at the worldwide box office. The legendary actor is currently working on his next directorial effort, Journal for Jordan, starring Creed and Black Panther star Michael B. Jordan. Washington previously directed the Oscar-nominated Fences, The Great Debaters and Antwone Fisher.
