Plans for a feature film version of Brian Michael Bendis and Marc Andreyko’s Torso are back on as The Hollywood Reporter brings word that David Lowery has signed on to write and direct for Circle of Confusion.
David Fincher was once attached to bring the story to the screen, but the project fell by the wayside, leading to Paramount Pictures letting the rights lapse back in 2009.
The graphic novel, a crime thriller, tells the true story of Treasury Department agent Eliot Ness’ time after his Al Capone days.
Lowery, whose Ain’t Them Bodies Saints hits theaters August 16, recently became attached to write and direct Pete’s Dragon for Walt Disney Pictures and The Old Man and the Gun with Robert Redford attached to star.
