I Met A Girl will follow the story of an impulsive musician (Thwaites) who is struggling with schizophrenia. He will meet a mysterious woman (Sullivan), who he will fall for but she might just be an imagination in his head. When the woman suddenly vanishes, he takes off on a cross-country journey across Australia to find her, forcing his long-suffering brother (Jackson) to try to rescue him.
Written by Glen Dolman, the film will be produce by Adam Dolman through his Monsoon Pictures banner along with Melissa Kelly and Ryan Hodgson of Factor 30 Films. Thwaites and Eve will also serve as executive producers along with Roger Savage, James Norrie and Bob Portal of AMP International. The film will be co-funded by Screen Australia and Screenwest.

Adam and Glen Dolman added that this story was inspired by the death of their close friend, saying: “This is a personal, authentic and very moving story and one which I believe will resonate with audiences worldwide. We’re both thrilled to be working again with director, Luke Eve, whose passion and vision for this project is infectious.”
I Met A Girl is scheduled to film in Western Australia and New South Wales.
