Dermot Mulroney will be starring as the lead in the buddy comedy 2 Men & a Pig, per The Hollywood Reporter. The Homecoming guest star will play Rick, who’s on a road trip with his brother, Michael (Parks and Recreations‘ Jim Connor) while they are trying to stay one step ahead of the law. The two are also traveling with a ceramic pig named Charlie — hence the film’s title.
Other cast members announced so far include Neal McDonough (Captain America: The First Avenger) as the excellently-named Texas Ranger Walkyre Alabama and Dina Nina Martinez (The Misadventures of Delilah James) as Rosita.
Ted Collins, who produced the documentary Mr. Fish: Cartooning from the Deep End, will direct the film as well as co-produce with Raz Cunningham. The script was penned by James R.W. Cornetet and Michael S. Cornetet.
In addition to his guest role on Amazon’s Homecoming, Mulroney will show up in a multitude of upcoming projects on both the big and the small screen this year, including another road trip centered film Sgt. Will Gardner, the drama Hard Luck Love Song, the horror/thriller Trick, as well as ABC’s firefighter series Station 19.
