is reporting that producer Aaron Magnani has optioned the rights to C.J. Cherryhs sci-fi fantasy series “The Morgaine Stories.” He’s hoping to turn the series into a franchise under the name The Gates of Morgaine. Writer Peter Arneson has already completed the script for the first film, titled The Gates of Morgaine: Ivrel.
The series is described as follows: “The epic story of an outcast warrior forced to serve a mysterious time-traveling heroine. Legend says she is evil, but he eventually learns her mission is to save the universe.”
