While a North American release date has not been set yet, Steven Knight’s action-thriller Hummingbird opens in the UK on May 17 and you can now watch the trailer below. Knight, who wrote Dirty Pretty Things and Eastern Promises, is making his directorial debut on the project.
The film, starring Jason Statham, Vicky McClure, Agata Buzek and Benedict Wong (Prometheus), is described as follows:
Living homeless after going on the run from a military court-martial, Joey Jones (Statham) is a damaged ex-special forces soldier trapped in Londons criminal underworld. But when opportunity enables him to assume another mans identity, he is transformed into an avenging angel.
