Christina Applegate is up for the female lead in Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley’s Vacation, says a story at The Hollywood Reporter. She would join Ed Helms in the sequel to the 1983 comedy classic.
“It’s catching up with the family now and Rusty will be played by Ed Helms,” Goldstein told ComingSoon.net in a recent interview. “He’s taking his own family on a trip to Walley World because he remembers that trip being so great.”
Applegate is currently shooting Anchorman: The Legend Continues in Atlanta, Georgia. That film is slated to hit theaters December 20.
