A lot of photos from The Wolverine have been popping up online lately, but few of them with some context. Empire has put up a few new images from the upcoming film with a bit of a tease about where they lead. These two photos are said to showcase Logan looking for an old friend of his from ‘his days in a Nagasaki prison’. The Wolverine producer Hutch Parker elaborates, “Effectively Logan saved him and this man is on his deathbed and is looking to give him a gift, to thank him for the life he’s had. But this gift draws Logan into a very complex and very unexpected world.”
A teaser of the first trailer for The Wolverine will come online on Tuesday, March 26th followed by the full teaser trailer on Wednesday, March 27th. That trailer will then start playing in theaters with G.I. Joe: Retaliation starting on Thursday, March 28th.
Based on the celebrated comic book arc, The Wolverine finds Logan, the eternal warrior and outsider, in Japan. There, samurai steel will clash with adamantium claw as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed. Will Yun Lee, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima and Brian Tee co-star.
