Omar Sy Joins X-Men: Days of Future Past

Director Bryan Singer continues his Twitter teasing as he announced tonight that French actor Omar Sy (The Intouchables) has officially joined X-Men: Days of Future Past. Like Singer did with the announcement of Peter Dinklage, the director forgot to mention which character the actor would be playing.

Many are already speculating that Sy will be the mutant Bishop (though this character wouldn’t debut in “Uncanny X-Men” until ten years after the publication of “Days of Future Past”). Without confirmation from Singer or the studio we can’t know for sure, but if we’re going to play the guessing game we think he’ll be playing an all new character that didn’t appear in the original comic storyline. Who do you think Sy will play in the film?

Sy joins an all-star cast for the film including Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore and Peter Dinklage, the Bryan Singer-directed film will hit theaters on July 18, 2014.
