Hercules , Starring Dwayne Johnson, Moved Up Two Weeks

MGM and Paramount Pictures announced today that the Brett Ratner-directed Hercules, starring Dwayne Johnson, has been moved up from August 8, 2014 to July 25, 2014.

This means the film will be released in between The Hobbit: There and Back Again and X-Men: Days of Future Past, both set to be released on July 18, 2014, as well as Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy, opening in theaters on August 1, 2014.

Hercules is based on the Radical Publishing “Hercules” comic books of which there were two series, “The Thracian Wars” and “The Knives of Kush,” both written by Steve Moore with Cris Bolsin on art.
