Ellen Page to Direct Anna Faris in Miss Stevens

Juno and Inception star Ellen Page is steppping behind the camera for her next project. Variety reports that Page will direct Miss Stevens with Anna Faris in the lead.

Julia Hart provided the screenplay for the project, which follows a high school teacher (Faris) on a cross-country trip to drama competition.

Page recently starred in Woody Allen’s To Rome with Love and can soon be seen in Zal Batmanglij’s sophmore feature, The East. Next up, she’ll be reprising her X-Men: The Last Stand role of Kitty Pryde in Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Faris, meanwhile, just starred in the ensemble sketch comedy feature Movie 43 and, last summer, appeared oppposite Sacha Baron Cohen in Paramount Pictures’ The Dictator.

Miss Stevens will be produced by Gary Gilbert and Jordan Horowitz of Gilbert Films and Doug Wald of Anonymous Content with Anonymous Content’s Trevor Adley and Nicole Romano executive producing.
