This week’s list begins with a few recent theatrical titles, including 20th Century Fox’s massively successful blockbuster, Kingsman: The Secret Service. Based on the comic book series by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons, Kingsman went on to gross more than $403 million at the worldwide box office. Also arriving this week is the depression era drama, Serena, starring Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence, and, on DVD only, The Squeeze, starring Jason Dohring (“Veronica Mars”). Dohring recently dropped by Most Craved to chat about the film and you can check out his episode right here.
Scream Factory then follows up their recent features-packed Sleepaway Camp release with, debuting on Blu-ray for the first time, both Sleepaway Camp II: Unhappy Campers and Sleepaway Camp III: Teenage Wasteland. Pamela Springsteen (The Boss’ sister) stars in both tongue-in-cheek horror features.
On the small screen front, we’re getting first season sets of two recent hits: FX’s Guillermo del Toro vampire series The Strain and TNT’s global pandemic action thriller, The Last Ship. Finally, Blu-rays are go as the complete “supermarionation” series Thunderbirds debuts on HD.
